石英砂是石英石經(jīng)破碎加工而成的石英顆粒，石英石是一種非金屬礦物質(zhì)，是一種堅(jiān)硬、耐磨、化學(xué)性能穩(wěn)定的硅酸鹽礦物，其主要礦物成分是SiO2，石英砂的顏色為乳白色、或無(wú)色半透明狀，莫氏硬度7，石英砂是重要的工業(yè)礦物原料，非化學(xué)危險(xiǎn)品，廣泛用于玻璃、鑄造、陶瓷及防火材料、冶煉硅鐵、冶金熔劑、冶金、建筑、化工、塑料、橡膠、磨料、濾料等工業(yè)。

石英砂濾料無(wú)雜質(zhì)，抗壓耐磨，機(jī)械強(qiáng)度高，化學(xué)性能穩(wěn)定，截污能力強(qiáng)，效益高、使用周期長(zhǎng)，適用于單層、雙層過(guò)濾池、過(guò)濾器和離子交換器中，各項(xiàng)指標(biāo)均達(dá)到（CJ/T43-2005）標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。加工有精制石英砂，白石英砂，酸處理劑，普通石英砂，可滿足不同用戶的使用需求。

石英砂是與過(guò)濾容器結(jié)合，用于截留水中懸浮物膠體等顆粒雜質(zhì)，從而起到過(guò)濾作用。主要可分為以下幾類：

1、普通石英砂濾料：主要用在污水處理中，用三五年都沒(méi)問(wèn)題，只要防止石英砂流失就行，被污染了不要緊，因?yàn)槲鬯幚碇?，污泥可以進(jìn)行好氧或者厭氧呼吸，將污水中的污染物降解。

2、 精制石英砂濾料：用在水處理中，在砂濾器中，一般2到3年就要更換，通常被污染后，污染物包住石英砂就不能再起到很好的過(guò)濾作用了，只能更換。石英砂濾料通過(guò)Iso9001-2000質(zhì)量體系認(rèn)證。在中性及值在范圍內(nèi)的酸性水中都很穩(wěn)定，但在堿性水中有微溶解，化學(xué)水處理中SiO2增量不超過(guò)2mg/L。

石英砂是重要的工業(yè)礦物原料，非化學(xué)危險(xiǎn)品，廣泛用于玻璃、鑄造、陶瓷及耐火材料、冶煉硅鐵、冶金熔劑、冶金、建筑、化工、塑料、橡膠、磨料等工業(yè)。可汽運(yùn)，火車運(yùn)輸。
