日前，JDSU公司推出了市場(chǎng)上商品化體積最小的近紅外光譜儀，其最主要的特點(diǎn)是體積小、性價(jià)比高，在4542mm大小的體積中，微型近紅外光譜儀包含了光源、濾光片、檢測(cè)器等。

     在之前的近紅外光譜儀小型化過程中，Czerny-Turner正交型光柵技術(shù)及MEMS(微機(jī)電系統(tǒng))技術(shù)是主流，但是利用如上技術(shù)，體積變小有限，或成本較高，或需要光源、光柵等移動(dòng)部件。

     之所以可以將近紅外光譜儀做到如此之小是采用了一項(xiàng)線性漸變?yōu)V光片(LVF，Linear Variable Filter)的技術(shù)制作分光原件。具體而言，LVF是一種特殊的帶通濾光片，制作時(shí)特意向特定方向形成楔形鍍層，濾光片的穿透波長(zhǎng)在楔形方向發(fā)生了線性變化，從而起到分光作用。

A Linear Variable Filter (LVF) is a single filter where the performance profile shifts gradually from one end of the filter to the other in a continuous manner, this is illustrated below for one covering the 2.5-5.0 μm range.

The combination of an LVF and suitable detector can replace a large number of components thus saving vast amounts in space, cost, weight and time. Vortex manufactures two stock filters for use in the infrared, one covering a range from 1.2 to 2.5 μm, a further one covers the range from 2.5 to 5 μm. We have the capability to manufacture for a wide range of detector windows and bands within this range to suit your needs and welcome the opportunity to discuss specific applications in confidence.

• Stock filters of 15 mm long x 3 mm wide, the 1.2 to 2.5 μm is 1mm thick, the  
  2.5 to 5 μm version is 0.5 mm thick (tolerance=+/- 0.1 mm)
• Durable hard coatings passing Humidity, salt solution, severe abrasion, adhesion as per MIL C 48497
• T peak, typically >60 across the band
• Surface Quality better than 60-40 scratch dig
• Blocking UV to 8 microns, if extended blocking is required we stock a supplementary band-pass filter to enable blocking at OD3 to extend from UV to 50 μm

LVF’s can be used in hand held spectrophotometers, multi gas detectors and any other application where a range of IR band-pass filters can be replaced with a single one.
